Tamara Burross Grisanti earned her BA in English Literature from SUNY Buffalo State. She took a class in literary publishing from Kim Chinquee, which led to her being brought on board as associate editor of ELJ – Elm Leaves Journal in 2014. Since then she has started an online journal of dark literature, Coffin Bell Journal, and joined New World Writing‘s masthead as social media editor. Her poetry and fiction appear or are forthcoming in New World Writing, Chicago Literati, and Eunoia Review. You can read a sample of her work here.

She has a fascination with typos, a crush on Oxford commas, and enjoys quoting from Ralph Waldo Emerson’s essays, so much so that she tweets bits and pieces of Emerson’s genius on twitter as @RalphWaldoEmBot. She maintains ELJ’s twitter account, @ELJ_journal, New World Writing‘s twitter account, @NewWorldWriting, as well as Coffin Bell‘s twitter account, @coffin_bell. She also tweets (infrequently) as @TamaraGrisanti. When she is not on social media, she enjoys checking her Submittable account compulsively, completing writing prompts from her online writing group, and making taciturn progress on her novel.
